Well, after finally giving in to my RL friends' wishes I spent the last 2 months plying WOW, and as many of you may well know, it was a grind. It is refreshing to be back in a game that doesn't penalize you for changing your build, and it's nice to acually log in, seconds later get into a random arena and have fun getting the living crap beaten out of me and my fellow groupmates (i definitely need a GW refresher before I try that again). As easy as it would be for me to sit here and go on (and I could for a good week or two) about the myriad problems and frustrations I had at the popular game, I am interested in something else.

I was wondering if the GW community could update me (or shoot me a link) on the progress, and changes the game has gone through the past five months, or so. The last I remember doing was all the sorows furnace quests, and trying desperately to get a green item of any kind (preferably a bow for my ranger). Since then I have been out of touch with the GW community and any changes.

I thank all of you in advance for getting me up to speed.

That will give you most of the specific ideas ...

AoE spells (fire storm, etc) have been nerfed to allow NPC's to detect and run away from them, rather than passing each other the soap in the meteor shower, and standing around getting burned to death

Minor things here and there, it won't take you long to pick it back up.

Oh, lest I forget: Factions is coming out on XXX the ZZ! (date to be announced)

You could always read through the update log on the guild wars site. There have been quite a few major changes since you were gone. I'll list a few here.

-New set of Greens at the Tomb of the Primival Kings
-If you like pvp, the current popular builds are IWAY and ranger spike.
-AoE spells nerfed
-Chapter 2 Beta Weekends begun
-Sharp drop in prices of most items

Thats all the important stuff i can think of off the top of my head.

thanks guys, didnt know about the green drops in tomb of primevil kings, last time i checked that was a pvp zone. snowball arena sounded cool, to bad i missed it.
